Professional Services is here to advise and assist all members in meeting their responsibilities to clients, employers and the public. The emphasis is on providing early, confidential advice and assistance for members/firms to consider in an effort to avoid more serious and costly problems such as litigation claims, legal costs, and complaints requiring disciplinary action.

Services

Consultation and advice about techincal and professional issues related to practice management, accounting, auditing, Institute Bylaws and Rules of Professional Conduct.

Group Presentations by the Director of Professional Services provide a valuable opportunity for lively, interactive discussion, and can be arranged locally where sufficient interested is inducaed.

Regular publications, including Member Advisory and Public Practice Bulletin, are provided periodically to inform CAs on practice management, GAAP, GARS, GAAS, government reporting, Institute services and other subjects of interest.

Online postings provide a realtime information resource to members and include up-to-date, online versions of all publications as well as columns, articles and other items of relevance. 

Other services & support includes leading the preparation of submissions on exposure drafts on other proposal from standard appropriate; providing a public accounting firm buy/sell services; and liaising with member advisory and other areas within other provincial institutes and professional bodies.
