Fellow Chartered Accountants (FCA)

Bylaw 13(1) Any member in good standing who has rendered meritorious service may by a two-third vote of Council be admitted a fellow.

  • FCA nominees are expected to have service to both the profession and the community with service to the profession typically being 80% of the service required.  FCAs may be granted posthumously.
  • The contribution of member being considered for an FCA is evaluated using a point scale.

Distinguished Community Service Award (DCSA)

The purpose of the Distinguished Community Service Award is to recognize the distinguished community service of a Chartered Accountant who is a resident  Saskatchewan member in good standing.  Distinguished service is defined as extensive one time or long term service and excellence in leadership positions in areas such as, but not limited to: career, community, business, not for profit and professional organizations.

George Baxter Achievement Award

The George Baxter Award is presented to resident Saskatchewan CAs who, withiin the first ten years (post UFE) since qualifying as a CA demonstrate excellence in professional, civic, charitable, community or other service, and/or excellence, innovation or remarkable accomplishment in their career or field of accounting in general within the province of Saskatchewan.

This award was created in January 2003 in conjunction with the family of Dr. George Baxter, FCA. The award honours the contributions of Dr. Baxter, University of Saskatchewan professor and ICAS past president.
