Volunteer Opportunities

Treasurer / Finance Director

Boot Hill Community Association (BHCA) strives to create a vibrant community for residents of the Boot Hill / Douglas Park area of Regina.

Currently, BHCA is responsible for recreational programming, two Before-And-After School Programs, and liaising with various political or community based bodies as required.

To assist BHCA in creating and maintaining its current and desired programming and community representation activities, a Volunteer Treasurer / Director of Finance is required to assist and participate in analysis and decision making as a member of the Board of Directors.

Ideally, the Treasurer will have a solid understanding of bookkeeping and basic financial reporting and internal controls, along with knowledge and ability to process semi-monthly payroll and related items.

That said, none of the above is REQUIRED.  The current (retiring) Treasurer will be available for a significant period of time to assist with the transition should it be required. Training resources and reference materials can be made available as required.

The only required qualification is a desire to make your community a vibrant, fun community, and act ethically and in the best interest of the Community Association.

Please contact Scott Janke, CA (President of BHCA) at sjanke@virtusgroup.ca or by phone at (306) 537-7870 if you would like to discuss further details of the position and how you would be the right person for the job!

Please see http://boothillca.wordpress.com for our newly-redesigned website and additional details of our organization.

Although members of the Board of Directors are typically residents of the area, we will consider candidates from outside the area.
